“I AM HERE FOR YOU” Billboard; How Gov. Obaseki Fail to Compensate Widow As Promised – Barr. I.O USIFOH

Precisely on the 5th day of February, 2018, my cousin by name MRS RUTH BELLO lost her husband as a result of wicked police officer, who, without provocation, legal excuse defence pushed my Cousin’s husband, called MR. DAVID BELLO into a moving Coca Cola Bottling Company’s Trailer, which crushed the defenceless Late MR.DAVID BELLO to an untimely death.The unfortunate incident took place at Ikpoba Slope by M.M.WAY junction in Benin City.

MRS RUTH BELLO HAILS FROM AFUMENMEN QUARTERS OF IBORE IRRUA WHILE HER LATE HUSBAND HAILS FROM EWU BOTH IN ESAN CENTRAL LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF EDO STATE. The Edo State Governor visited my Cousin, who was made an untimely widow at Urora Community on the 8th day of February, 2018. It is on record that Governor GODWIN O. OBASEKI promised before men, women, boys, girls , ancestors and the Almighty God, to give my widow Cousin, the sum of #10,000,000:00 (Ten Million Naira) which till date he failed to redeem.

I personally wrote a letter of appeal to him on behalf of my cousin widow MRS. RUTH BELLO on the 1st day of September, 2020, appealing to him to redeem his public pledge to the widow. Up till now, no reply from the Governor. It is sad to note here that the Edo State Governor took a photograph with my widow Cousin, which portrayed that he was in sympathy with my cousin widow. Rather than redeem his pledge to my widow cousin, he used the photograph that he took with my widow Cousin to advertise on giant bill boards, the fact that he is a caring governor. Attached here is the photograph of the governor and my widow cousin on one of the billl boards, which he erected in strategic positions in many Local Government Areas of Edo State. My widow Cousin is so depressed seeing herself and Governor O. Obaseki on bill boards all over Benin metropolis and beyond, without the Edo State Governor redeeming his pledge to her. It will also be recalled that on the instructions of the Edo State Governor, my widow Counsin opened a SAVINGS BANK ACCOUNT WITH STERLING BANK PLC, into which the #10,000,000:00(Ten million naira) was to be paid into.

I, on behalf of my widow Cousin – MRS RUTH BELLO, humbly use this public medium to call on the Edo State Governor, to redeem his pledge to the affected widow . If however the governor is not willing to honour his public pledge, he should, within 72 hours remove all the bill boards showing the widow and himself, as the most honourable thing for him to do in that regard. The family members of the late husband of, Ibore Irrua and Ewu communities in Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State and the general public should take note of this unexpected wicked action perpetrated against my widow Cousin. Let the public know that GOVERNOR GODWIN O. OBASEKI did not pay any money to my widow cousin and that nobody should henceforth harass her any more about the money that was not paid to her.

Let it also be on record that my widow Cousin has a right of legal action in a competent Court of law over the continuous display of the bill boards, showing her photograph with GODWIN O. OBASEKI, when the condition precedent for the display of the said bill boards was not met by the Governor of Edo State.
In the bill board, the Governor of Edo state said “I AM HERE FOR YOU” (My widow cousin), where as, he is not anywhere for her.
