A leading contestant for the position of House of Representatives, Owan Federal Constituency, Elabor Joe Agbebaku, Esq. celebrates with women all over the world on the occasion of International Women’s Day, he commends the efforts of women in the society and prods them to participate in politics. “Women are the backbone of the family, families sum up to make up the society. Therefore, women are the backbone of every society.
Women deserve to be celebrated every day because they go through a lot and pay a lot of sacrifices to keep the homes strong which gives the men daily power and confidence.
It is high time the women are given more recognition in the society and encouraged to partake in the building of our nation politically. Women should be given a chance in politics.
Gone are those days when women were being relegated to the kitchens and bedrooms. In developed nations today, women are given sensitive positions to lead and are delivering positive and good results.
I commemorate with women all over the world today, and call on our amazons, strong and enthusiastic women to show more interest in politics.
The building of a great nation should not be left for only men.
We believe you are strong and capable, do not feel intimidated and unnerved to make the move.
