Dr Ken Pela has not won his case in court as the Delta State governor. The 2023 Delta State gubernatorial election was held on March 18th, 2023, and the winner was Sheriff Oborevwori of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Ken Pela, the Labour Party candidate, came in second place. Pela has challenged the election results in court, but he has not yet won his case.

The celebrated win today is that the court in Abuja has upturned the Delta ruling and given Pela the go-ahead to proceed at the Tribunal
The case is begin, and it is not clear when a verdict will be reached. However, it is unlikely that Pela will be declared the winner of the election at this point.
