[Health]: Young Medical Laboratory Scientist Forum FCT Special Medical Outreach In Commemoration Of 2024 World Malaria Day.

On April 25th, each year, the global community unites to observe World Malaria Day, a significant occasion to reflect on the progress made in malaria prevention and control, raise awareness about the disease and mobilize efforts to combat it.

Under the theme “ACCELERATING THE FIGHT AGAINST MALARIA FOR A MORE EQUITABLE WORLD” this year, the Young Medical Laboratory Scientist Forum (YMLSF) FCT raised awareness about malaria prevention and control. The YMLSF team emphasized the crucial role of quality diagnostic testing in combating this deadly disease and advocated for the employment of more licensed young medical laboratory scientists in government facilities nationwide.

The FCT Branch proudly stood alongside organizations worldwide in accelerating the fight against malaria. This year Karu Local Government Area Council was visited and her citizens received vital health services including diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and control services.

The Young Medical Laboratory Scientists understand their pivotal role in shaping healthcare outcomes, as their mission goes beyond mere diagnosis. The YMLSF strives to actively contribute to the well-being of communities through collaborative endeavors, as the FCT members aspire to leave a lasting impact on healthcare outcomes.

MLS Sunday O. Etaba who was the Committee Lead for the YMLSF FCT World Malaria Day’24 expressed sincere appreciation to the office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement, North Central, and the invaluable support from LABCREST MEDICAL DIAGNOSTICS AND CLINICS, for their collaborative efforts towards the success in commemorating World Malaria Day 2024.

The Chairman of the FCT branch, MLS Stephanie Omoarebun on her part expressed gratitude to the YMLSF national body, the dedicated committee members and volunteers, for their unwavering commitment and expertise which were instrumental in making this event a success.

She added that members of YMLSF FCT under her leadership are profoundly honored to have made a meaningful impact on the lives of the residents of Karu Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.
