Fasting is concentrating in the word, prayers and leaving food and pleasure aside.<\/p>\n

We have a God that hear and answer prayers, and His commandments are for your lifting (1st Timothy 3:16). Apostle John says God’s commandments are not grievous (1st John 5:3).<\/p>\n

Anytime you are not praying, you are fainting (Luke 18:1).<\/p>\n

You must understand that fasting is commanded for specific benefit of the believer as seen in the scripture (Isaiah 58: 6).<\/p>\n

You must beware of selling your birthright to the belly, as you can’t please God in the flesh.<\/p>\n

It’s your duty to discipline the flesh and live in the spirit. If you sow to the flesh you reap corruption.<\/p>\n

You must remember that Prayers gives value to your Fasting (Matthew 17: 19-21).<\/p>\n

Biblical Approach To Profitable Fasting:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. We must come to the Father through the Name of Jesus Christ (John 15:16).<\/p>\n

It’s an open cheque, whatsoever you ask in His name shall be given to you (John 14: 12-13).<\/p>\n

You must come to Him boldly (Hebrew 4:16) as a Son to the Father.<\/p>\n

2. You must engage your Faith (Hebrew 6:11).<\/p>\n

You must believe He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Put your Faith to work by believing God (Matthew 17: 21).<\/p>\n

3. You must engage by praying for the needs of others (Ephesians 6: 19, James 5:16, Proverbs 11: 25).<\/p>\n

Fasting doesn’t empower God, but empower you as a believer.<\/p>\n
