I have once reasoned that Nigeria is unfortunate, cursed and jinxed with bad leaders, if not, she would not keep producing bad leaders and especially a relic and clueless person as the incumbent president (possibly the worst thus far).
There seems to be an eerie atmosphere in place in our political structure that prevents the good ones from getting to power or eliminate them altogether even if they somehow manage to.
The only time the country seemed to break the jinx was when Y’Ardua emerged as the president; arguably, the best produced by Nigeria in recent times. Even though he only managed to stay a very short while, his government was the best we’ve had and truly had genuine interest of the masses at heart but unfortunately, he didn’t last long and the country couldn’t enjoy the very best of what he had to offer; another way the jinx popped up its disastrous head!!
