But money like the Holy Book says answers all things, it’s also pertinent to know that money (especially debt you owe) can actually affect your health adversely?

According to a recent Health study, people who say they suffer from high stress due to debt were much more likely to suffer from health problems than those who weren’t dealing with money troubles.

That study also confirms what researchers have known for years, and also show how Low incomes are linked to poor health, high levels of debt, increased stress and low productivity sometimes.

On the study made, about twenty-seven (27) percent of people stressed as a result of debt had ulcers or digestive-tract problems, compared with eight (8) percent of those with minimal levels of debt stress, and forty-four (44) percent had migraines or other headaches, compared with fifteen (15) percent of people with low debt stress.

A variety of factors may be blamed, but the fact remains, Money makes it easier to live healthy and stay healthy.

Here’s a look at how your personal wallet is linked to your physical and emotional health. You can also feel better even if you don’t hit the lottery or suddenly strike it rich (pun intended).

Stress can be a helpful and powerful motivator in life at some point. However, most of the stress in our lives is not the positive kind. We’re worried about relationships, our homes, our careers, and the economy.

Whether you’re stressing over saving for retirement, paying off a loan or finding the money to just put food on the table, your health can suffer because of your worrying.

Stress when not properly managed is said to been linked to a variety of health challenges, including anxiety, depression, diabetes, hair loss, heart disease,  obesity, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and ulcers.

In the poll, those in debt were seven times more likely to suffer from anxiety and five times more likely to be depressed.

Another is fighting Insomnia and poor sleeping habits which are linked to stress. Our health greatly suffers when we’re not well-rested. Lack of sleep is associated with irritability, moodiness, and eventually short-term memory loss, impaired motor skills and slowed reflexes which have adverse effects on our health and vitality.

Another is drinking excessively and smoking thinking it can erode the feeling of not having enough. Some indulge in the act to forget about the mountain of debts. However, this compounds your health issues.

I can go on and on but “You” may not be able to change your income automatically, but you’ll be able to change your spending habits and your savings gradually. By making small changes as day go by, you can make big differences in your health.

No matter how much money you make, you can’t afford to neglect your health. You are the most valuable asset you have.
