A twitter user @thepoeticson (Nanpon) have shared his amazing story from birth to marriage with @Heeldarh (Hilda).
Nanpon tells the full story….
Hilda’s parents and mine had been friends before either of us were born and they are till now. So when her mum was pregnant for her, she came to my house one fateful day (I was only three(3) years old at that time). I was told I reached out to her, touched her belly and said she was going to give birth to a girl and the girl will be my wife. (I said I was told because, I can’t say that I vividly remember that day event, even though I now have flashes of it). I grew up hearing the stories and on Hilda’s first birthday, we were made to take this picture.
Growing up, Hilda and I never attended same school (from primary till university) but we saw each other often in church. Hilda struck me as a very beautiful girl and because she was tall she was my exact spec, but I never had the liver to talk to her.
I still remember one time she was standing just beside her mum’s car after church (she also remembers that day because she said she wanted to talk to me too). I wanted to approach her but my self confidence made me take a detour.
Anyway, fast forward to year 2016. Hilda reached out to me on Facebook on her way back to school. She said hi, and we began conversation. Eager to break the ice, I brought up the conversation about the old prophecy and I asked if she knew about me prophesying her birth. She replied that her mum had told her and we hit it off from there.
From friends, we became lovers, and got engaged, that was a life changing moment for me.
My mum told the story in front of many witnesses who concurred with Hilda’s mum being the chief witness, when we went to pay her dowry for traditional rite.
