Professor Suny Edeko, a professor of Law at the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma and a member of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has throw to social media to publicly declare his support for the re-election of Governor Godwin Obaseki of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming Edo 2020 Governorship Election.
In his statement posted on his offical Facebook account read bellow;
“I HEREBY ENDORSE GODWIN OBASEKI AND HON. PHILIP SHUAIBU FOR RE-ELECTION AS GOVERNOR AND DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF EDO STATE
I am a member of the All Progressives Congress and I am joining more than 80% members of the Congress and more than 98% members of the Peoples’ Democratic Party to vote for Obaseki because he has developed Edo State more than any other Governor of Bendel/Edo State since 1984. If Obaseki tells me to tear this APC membership card today, I will tear it and renounce my membership of the Congress.
He added that One of the reasons for his decision is that the Governor has performed excellently in his first term and have no doubt that if re-elected he will do more for the development of Edo State.
Prof. Edeko further stated that the godfather has veered APC away from the true meaning of its creed, that the Congress stands for Justice, Peace and Prosperity. There is no justice in the way and manner the most performing Governor in Nigeria was hounded out of the Congress. The godfather has constituted himself as a threat to peace and prosperity.
