The Isoko youth who rejected an offer of Special Assistant (SA) position from Governor Ifeanyi A. Okowa of Delta State has been rewarded for his courage to stand against the odd.
It is reported that a group of Isoko professionals who lives abroad have donated the sum of N1.9Million, and sent to him for the act. The sum is said to be the same amount the Okowa’s administration would have paid him for ten (10) months if he had accepted the offer.
Mr. Josiah OMENUWOMA, a graduate of Science Laboratory Technology is currently pushing the OBIdient movement in Isoko in particular. It’s reported that the Okowa-led Government decided to dangle the carrot of an appointment as SA on Youth Matters in his face ostensibly to put out the formidable OBIdient fire that is ravaging everywhere in Isokoland (a clear case of smite the shepherd and the sheep will scatter).
The Isoko Professional says they are doing this to encourage more youths to stand firm by their convictions and KNOW THAT LIFE DOES NOT BEGIN AND END IN GOVERNMENT.
